How do you make people care about the Great Lakes? And why do oceans get all the attention?

"Daily Show" correspondent Michael Kosta answers those questions -- and campaigns for a Great Lakes makeover -- in a hilarious, irreverent piece that aired Tuesday night.

Dan Egan, author of "The Death and Life of the Great Lakes," plays the straight man, acknowledging that lakes "seem to have a second-class status."

And Kosta explains why – oceans are cooler. "Oceans get Pixar movies, theme parks, and even better celebrities." Singer Frank Ocean is much cooler than talk show host Ricki Lake. And the Great Lakes don’t have their own version of Finding Nemo or even SeaWorld.

Kosta’s solution?

Rename the Great Lakes the Great Oceans. That will make people care about them more.
