Cleveland Indians Playoff Tickets Sell Out

Indians playoff home game tickets sold out within the hour after going on sale at 10 a.m. Friday. For secondary sales, the Indians are pointing fans to StubHub. 

By 10:16, Games 1 and 2 were sold out. 

By 10:28, tickets to a possible Game 5 were sold out, too. 

As the team noted on its website, “any fan who re-sells Indians Postseason tickets on a secondary site other than StubHub—and the fan who purchases those tickets—are subject to have their tickets revoked or the tickets’ bar codes canceled.”

Kevin Kleps, the sports reporter for Crain’s Cleveland Business, has a thorough explanation of what this means for fans here.

“They’re saying you’re in danger, they’re not saying that you’re not going to have a seat,” Kleps said today on the Sound of Ideas. “But basically what they’re saying is, if you’re not getting it on StubHub, and you didn’t realize the policy beforehand, you should call them and give them your ticket information and they’ll tell you if it’s valid or not.”

As of Friday morning, prices ranged from $76 for far-upper-level seats to $306 for front-row infield seats. Standing-room-only tickets may be available for $56 for high-demand games.
