In a letter dated September 22 nd, the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency says the company, Rover Pipeline, LLC, allowed soapy water and sediment to spill into a stream in Loudon Township, Carroll County. The infraction occurred during an EPA inspection.
It is the $4.2 billion, interstate pipeline’s 13 th violation in Ohio.
In a statement, EPA director Craig Butler called the company arrogant and displaying a blatant disregard for the state’s environmental laws. Butler’s agency is seeking $2 million in fines from the Houston-based company.
