Two reports, two different conclusions on how much of an economic boost Cleveland received from hosting the 2016 Republican National Convention in July. Researchers with Tourism Economics said it was $188 million, with $110 million in direct spending. An earlier study by Cleveland State University had lower figures, $142 million and $68 million, respectively. Why the differences, and what are we to make of the results?
