One of the world's great classical guitarists, William Kanengiser brings his artistry to Plymouth Church of Shaker Hts. on Saturday, May 14 at 7:30 pm. His program, "Global Guitar," spans national boundaries and styles, with works by Joaquin Turina, John Duarte, Leo Brouwer and Dusan Bogdanovic. There'll also be music commissioned by Mr. Kanengiser, and a world premiere – Andrea Clearfield's "Reflections on the Life of the Dranyen." It's the final concert of the Cleveland Classical Guitar Society's 2021-22 season. A founding member of the Los Angeles Guitar Quartet, Bill is articulate, ilively and passionate about his art, as WCLV's Mark Satola found out during this conversation with him.
