The winner will be announced on WCLV's new frequency, 90.3, Monday, Mar. 28 at 7:20 a.m. EDT and posted here. WCLV begins broacasting on 90.3 at midnight Monday, March 28.

The Candidates:


  1. Stepan, an Internet-famous tabby cat on Instagram and Tik Tok, who has escaped war-torn Ukraine and, with the help of an association of bloggers and internet influencers, is now living with his family in France;
  2. The ring-necked parakeets of London, whose origins are obscure, but whose numbers proliferate;
  3. The 81-year-old man from China’s Hubei province who has spent 30 years caring for sick and disabled animals;
  4. Reba, the 17-year-old, 2,000-lb. draft horse from East Palastine, Ohio, who became stuck in mud on a sharp incline, and who was rescued by firefighters and a farm rescue team from across the state line in Pennsylvania;
  5. Douglas, an escaped kangaroo in Lapeer County, Michigan (north of Detroit), who was found in a driveway, and, after a 911 call, was later recaptured by its owner.
