- Sandy, the dog lost during a move from Nebraska to Massachusetts, when she pulled away from a family member while being walked in suburban Chicago. After the family was obliged to continue the move without Sandy, local volunteers found Sandy and returned her to the family;
- Ellie, the 100-pound pet pig much loved by a man from New York but considered to be forbidden livestock by the owner's municipality, and the subject of numerous court dates;
- Luna, the rescue dog who, while in shelter care, was featured in the Southwest Virginia Ballet’s production of “The Nutcracker.” Luna’s brief stage career was followed by a move to a foster home;
- Jessie Lee, the dog missing for two weeks in Colorado, who was found on a ledge 50 yards above a creek. A local animal control officer anchored herself to a wooden fence and rappelled to the dog, using a catchpole to pull Jessie Lee closer and prevent her from falling. Then the officer and the dog were hoisted off the ledge by another officer;
- Luna, a 3-year-old Korean Jindo dog, who disappeared in British Columbia, and who was found two weeks later at a ski resort under the load platform of a chair lift. Resort employees recognized Luna from recent social media posts.
