Voting in Tuesday's General Election was the first ballot you cast - now you can vote for the Pet News of the Week!  The winner will be announced Monday morning, Nov. 8, at 7:20 a.m. EST.

You can vote in one of two ways: (1) send a message to "Queenofthemorn@gmail.com"; or (1) NEW - leave a message on the contest line voice mail at 1-800-343-WCLV (9258). This voice mail feature is new this week.  Or you can call the contest line during Jacqueline Gerber's 10-noon program Saturday morning on WCLV.

Here are the candidates:

(1) Zookeepers at Cuba's National Zoo said several species of exotic and endangered animals took advantage of the peace and quiet resulting from the coronavirus pandemic for romantic encounters that have resulted in a bumper crop of baby animals;

(2) "Ivy," the baby fur seal who "flapped" across a road and who was found by police officers in San Rafael, Calif., after receiving reports of an "otter" in need of assistance. Ivy is now living at the nearby Marine Mammal Center;

(3) Sadie, the rescue dog in West Virginia who waits in the driveway for her adopted Dad, Tim, to return home from work;

(4) Ruby, a German shorthaired pointer, who in a video at her daycare center, is shown petting other dogs - a golden retriever, another GSP, a fluffy dog, and a hairy black dog.
