We went honky tonkin' with Cory Grinder and the Playboy Scouts for the September edition of Applause Performances.
This summer the Akron-based band released its second album - "Honky Tonkin' Beauty Supreme" - and went on an 11-state tour.
Helping get the band on the road was the musical non-profit Cleveland Rocks: Past, Present and Future which granted Cory a microloan to help pay for the tour.
Grinder and the band played new music and discussed the tour with Ideastream Public Media's David C. Barnett.
