A pair of white sneakers, made specifically for Apple employees, is up for auction

LEILA FADEL, HOST:

Good morning. I'm Leila Fadel.

Here's a rare find for all the sneakerheads out there - a pair of white trainers made by Apple. The tech giant made the line of sneakers as a one-time gift for their employees in the '90s. Now a size 10 1/2 pair has found its way onto the Sotheby's website, where it's on sale for just $50,000, making it only slightly pricier than a diamond-studded, 18-karat gold Apple Watch bracelet.
