Kasich on the Sunday Circuit

Ohio Governor John Kasich hit a trifecta yesterday, doing three appearances following the GOP debate in Cleveland last week. Statehouse Bureau Chief Karen Kasler was watching.

Kasich told NBC's Chuck Todd on "Meet the Press" that the controversy surrounding comments made by Donald Trump about women - quoting here - "just doesn't seem to bother me", and then praised what he called the "strong women" in his life, including his campaign manager. But he said he didn't think Trump was doing damage to the GOP.

"I think at the end of the day, you have a nominee, and that nominee is the person that reflects the views of the Republican Party. And all the things that go on in these primaries are just simply things that go on today but they're forgotten tomorrow."

Kasich also turned up on talk shows on CNN and ABC on Sunday.
