A judge has found Cleveland police officer Michael Brelo not guilty in the shooting deaths of Timothy Russell and Malissa Williams.
As ideastream previously reported, Brelo faced two charges of voluntary manslaughter.
In 2012, some 60 police cars chased Russell and Williams across the city, ending in a school parking lot. Thirteen officers, including Brelo, fired 137 shots at the suspects’ car. The only officer charged was Brelo, who waved his rights to a trial by jury.
