Groups Settle Legal Dispute Over Cuts To Early-Voting

Ohio voters have more opportunities to vote early and in-person starting this November because of a settlement of a lawsuit filed by the ACLU.

The expanded schedule includes a full work week where polls will be open until 7 in the evening. And Mike Brickner with the ACLU says voters will also have another Sunday open for voting during next year's presidential election.

"That is so critical for so many Ohioans who have inflexible work schedules, have family obligations or just find it difficult to be able to get to their polling place on a Tuesday in November," said Brickner.

Secretary of State Jon Husted says a big win for him was getting a uniform schedule for all 88 counties.
