Seleste Wisniewski of Elyria said her husband Pedro Hernandez Ramirez, who came to the U.S. undocumented, faces deportation. She said the government canceled Hernandez's stay of deportation, which she wants reinstated.
"I'm praying for a stay (of) deportation, waiting on Obama to make the decision on what's going to happen with the reform after the election in November," she said. "And hopefully there will be a pathway to citizenship for Pedro in the future."
Wisniewski and Hernandez's case has gained national attention. The couple is taking care of an adult son with cerebral palsy.
Earlier this month, the Obama administration announced it wouldn't issue a planned executive order before the end of the year. The president said the politics of the issue had shifted, and he wanted more time to make his case for it.
