Good Company: a Vocal Ensemble presents “Embracing the Bard,” a spring concert featuring choral settings of poetry by William Shakespeare, Robert Burns and Christina Rossetti. The concert will take place at Lakewood Presbyterian Church, 14502 Detroit at Marlowe. Karen Weaver, Conductor. Patrick Wickliffe, Accompanist. The 30 voice ensemble will perform Samuel Barber's Reincarnations, Brahms' Vier Quartette, and selections by Matthew Harris, James Mulholland and Stephen Chatman. The group will also premiere a new work by local composer and Good Company singer, Jennifer Scolnick. A free will offering will be taken. Parking is free and the venue is handicap accessible.
