UPDATE: The event is SOLD OUT.
The two disciplines share many characteristics: the experience of each is impermanent and fleeting, but defined by an underlining direction and trajectory that evolves over time. Both are discussed in terms of texture, color, counterpoint, and timbral or flavor notes. The dinner and concert Tham and LPSC will jointly present fuses the emotional complexity generated by the music with the tangible sensations generated by a multi-course early spring dinner.
Working together, Tham and the chefs have generated a musical program and accompanying menu that match orchestral harmonies and instrumental qualities with distinct tastes and textures in a unique cross-cultural experience that encourages participants to think about ingredients, harmonies, recipes, and compositions in a different, deeper, and more intimate way.
