The biggest jump in casino revenues last month was at the Hollywood Columbus casino. The Casino Control Commission says Columbus’ revenues went up 13 percent, from just under $16 million in September to $17.7 million.
Cleveland’s casino revenues increased by about 4 percent to $19.5 million.
Toledo saw a much more moderate increase of 1 percent, to $14.7 million. Cincinnati casino posted the only decline in revenues, down 8 percent to $18.2 million.
The casinos have brought in nearly $688 million so far this year. When casino gambling was approved in 2009, it was estimated that the four casinos would bring in nearly two billion dollars a year in revenue.
