Ohio Is Processing DNA Faster, Attorney General Says

Mike DeWine says it is now taking an average of 20 days to process DNA where it took more than four months just a couple of years ago.

DEWINE: "We came in with this as a very high priority and we have labored very hard to get the results that we have. And again, we are not totally satisfied, but we think we're -- we know we are in the right direction."

DeWine says DNA is helping to solve crimes from decades ago. And he says continuing to focus on processing it quicker will mean fewer days that a criminal can go without detection.
