It didn't take long for Ohio Democratic Party chairman Chris Redfern, who survived an attempt to unseat him last month, to jab at Ohio Republican Party chairman Bob Bennett, who was brought back from retirement after the ouster of Kevin DeWine.
"(Redfern)…bringing about a two-party system here in Ohio that frankly was lacking during most of the time that Bob was chairman of the Republican Party. I've spent some time getting to know Mr. Bennett, Chairman Bennett…
(Bennett) History tends to repeat itself in politics."
On the automakers bailout, Redfern said it saved thousands of jobs, while Bennett said the free market needs to control the economy, not the government. Bennett says the economy, not social issues, will drive the election, while Redfern says he's gine he feels his candidates can win on social issues.
