State Lawmakers Consider Expanding System Of Emergency Alerts

When an emergency notice on highway signs, radio, and TV involves abducted children, the system is called an “amber alert.” If the announcement involves missing senior citizens in danger, it's called a “silver alert.” If state lawmakers expand the system to include criminals who’ve attacked police, the notice will be called a "blue alert.”
