Remy says, "Some of them are made of plain old cardboard and that obviously is very recyclable. Some are made of plastic bags, pretty much, that they just pull over the metal brackets and we can recycle those now – and there’s plasticore, which can be recycled as well."
Remy encourages people outside central Ohio to contact their local community to find out if they’re collecting signs, and he says SWACO is reaching out to campaigns and communities to encourage them to recycle their leftover signs.
(SWACO will collect the signs on Saturday, November 12 from 9am till noon in Rhodes Park on West Broad Street in Columbus.)
