Every year hundreds of cyclists are killed on our nation's roadways. In 2008, the last year for which statistics are available, 716 bikers were killed across the country of which 16 were in Ohio. This weekend is an annual bike-ride fundraiser aimed at bringing attention to the issue of cycling safety. It's called Ride For Miles, named after Miles Coburn who lost his life two years ago on route 44 in Newbury Township -- a stretch of road known to be particularly dangerous. ODOT is planning $250 thousand dollars in improvements over the next couple of years to make that intersection safer. ideastream®'s Eric Wellman spoke with Chris Coburn, Miles' brother.
