From The Beginning: Dimora's Rise And Fall

For much of his political life, Jimmy Dimora has loomed large. The most prominent of the three Cuyahoga County commissioners...the former county Democratic Party chairman...and the go-to guy on county projects.

Now Dimora has three months left in office and he's been indicted on 28 counts of bribery and other corruption...all of which he says he's innocent. It's an end many say could not have been foreseen when Dimora started to show his knack for politics a quarter century ago. As Kevin Niedermier of member station WKSU reports...Dimora's rise to power began by accident...and generated thousands of loyal supporters.
