Ohio Supreme Court Hears Case On "Skill Games" Regulation

Over the past 3 years, thousands of so-called "skill games" have popped up across Ohio at arcades and convenience stores.

State legislators said the games looked suspiciously like illegal slot machines....so they tried to crack down on them.

Lawmakers declared the games must stop giving cash or gift cards as prizes.....and they put a ten dollar limit on the value of the prizes that are awarded for each game.

One arcade in Circleville has challenged those limits in court. And now, the Ohio Supreme Court has just heard oral arguments in the case.

Statehouse correspondent Bill Cohen reports.
