Manny Acta says the Indians brass have great poker faces, and that even after his interview, he had no idea how high on him the team was.
That changed Saturday night, when the Indians made him a three year offer to manage the team.
Acta managed in the major leagues once before, in Washington, but says not to judge him by wins and losses.
MANNY ACTA:
"I bring high positive energy. I do have a young talented group here and we're gonna put the work in to take this team to the next level. "
Acta says the job of figuring out who he works best with won't be left for Spring Training. He says making the Indians into a winning team again starts today.
Acta is the 40th manager in the history of the Cleveland franchise. He turned down a management offer from Houston, where he spent part of his playing career.
