Upside/Downside: Federal Reserve Sees Some Improvements in Economy

In this week's edition of upside/downside,there's some relatively good news from the federal reserve. Eight times a year, the fed releases what it calls its beige book, which provides a snapshot of what's happening in the economy. In the Cleveland district, it says the economy is still sluggish but there are some signs of improvement. ideastream®'s Eric Wellman spoke with Craig Thomas, a senior economist with PNC Financial Services Group. He says the economy is showing signs of life in several areas.
