The author of the article is the Plain Dealer's Brie Zeltner, who started the segment by telling ideastream®'s Rick Jackson the story of a 59 year old man in Berea... who didn't want to lose his mother.

Rick Jackson is a senior host and producer at Ideastream Public Media. He hosts the "Sound of Ideas" on WKSU and "NewsDepth" on WVIZ.
