The honor comes from the magazine "Entrepreneur", which praised Youngstown on its' August edition cover, as being one of the ten best cities in America to start a business.
Among other towns featured in the article ...growth hotspots such as Las Vegas, Phoenix, San Diego, and Atlanta.
So what was it about Youngstown that warranted 'its' inclusion?
Article writer Jason Daley says researchers found something 'quite unexpected' - namely, the Youngstown Business Incubator, which is earning accolades from around the country for its innovative approach to growing new companies in the technology sector.
JASON DALEY: Here's a place that's actively trying to become an entreprenurial hotbed, and they're really pushing into new territory, and I thought "If anybody deserves a place, Youngstown deserves a place", even if they don't have some of the numbers that some of these bigger cities have."
The magazine wrote that while small, Youngstown seemed determined to 'break away from economic failures of it's past.'
DALEY: "it's an impressive endeavour and I think it's something other small cities are going to look to and start copying over the next few years."
The magazine is already on newstands.
