Shockingly high water bills, unread or outdated meters, slow response times, and a general "we-don't-care" attitude have infuriated hundreds, if not thousands of water department customers; but the dam literally burst in February.
That's when newspaper articles detailed just how many people were feeling soaked by the division of water.
The uproar has lead to a series of meetings that begin Tuesday night - allowing angry and disgruntled customers to vent directly to city officials - including interim director of utilities Barry Withers.
BARRY WITHERS: "We are committed to getting that information down. If there are some questions that we can resolve on site, then we'll do some of those. It will allow them to talk directly with someone, and for us to really get a feel for what we need to do to improve the quality of our customer service."
These public meetings - a first for the water division - are scheduled for Cleveland and nine suburbs, including in Medina and Summit Counties.
