Strickland Readies His Veto Pen

Governor Ted Strickland has all but promised he will veto three bills passed in the lame-duck legislative sessions in the last few days.

Strickland says he has problems with the bills to provide a tax credit for filmmaking, to tap the state's rainy day fund to pay bonuses to recent war veterans, and to close the five day window allowing same-day registration and voting.

Strickland says he's supportive of the bonuses for veterans, but wants to borrow the money rather than tap the rainy day fund.
