On Thursday, vice presidential hopeful Joe Biden bounded onto an outdoor stage at the Pro Football Hall of Fame and was greeted by about 2,500 enthusiastic supporters. The Delaware Senator quickly went to work reminding voters of his populist roots. He spoke about his childhood in Catholic elementary school, quoted his father and told the crowd that Republican John McCain would continue Bush policies that favor corporations over people.
"John McCain says the right thing to do is to tax the value of your healthcare plan as if you got a raise, as if it's income. Literally. While John's talking about dealing with the greed of Wall Street, what John's proposing would effectively eliminate the state's ability to protect you from the predatory practices of your insurance company."
Biden said he and Barack Obama would create jobs by investing $70 Billion dollars to improve the infrastructure. He also promised they would create green industries that would increase the nation’s supply of energy from renewable resources to 20 percent.
