The email from Hillary Clinton Headquarters lists politicians and big name party leaders the campaign has dubbed its Ohio Leadership Team. The list includes Governor Ted Strickland, Former Ohio Senator and astronaut John Glenn, Congresswoman Stephanie Tubbs Jones, Akron mayor Don Plusquellic and scores of commissioners, city council members and school board members.
Summit County Councilman and Democratic Central Committee member John Schmidt is on that list. He said he'll campaign for Clinton in Ohio.
Schmidt: She's a brilliant woman, she's tough, and I think she would represent the united states very well I think she could go toe to toe with any world leader, be it Vladimer Putin or any of these people in the Middle east. I think she's the best choice for the Democratic Party and the whole country going into November.
In the latest poll taken in Ohio, Senator Clinton has a 56 to 39 percent lead on Senator Barack Obama.
