Fleisher fulfilled his destiny, becoming one of the greatest concert pianists of all time, before the sudden loss the ability to use two fingers on his right hand when he was 36. Like a phoenix from the ashes, he rose to new heights as a pedagogue, a conductor and a concert pianist.
