Join WVIZ/PBS ideastream Education on Monday, Oct. 14 from 9-10:30 a.m. for a discussion of what you might not know--but need to know--about the Common Core.
The idea behind the Common Core might seem simple: A new set of nationwide standards for what students should know and be able to do in English and math.
The reality is complicated: Teachers must develop new curriculum and lessons. Parents must grapple with changes in their children's classes and homework. And policymakers face debates over whether the Common Core is even a good idea.
But there's help!
