StateImpact Ohio wants to help answer your questions about the big changes the Common Core is bringing to schools in Ohio.
Ohio and 45 other states and the District of Columbia have fully adopted these new guidelines about what students should be learning in English and math. And along with the new standards come new online-only tests that will replace Ohio's current pencil-and-paper tests.
Many parents are still unclear about how this will affect their children--or even what exactly the Common Core is. Many teachers aren’t sure how they’ll teach to the new standards. And many school administrators are wondering how to manage the changes.
StateImpact Ohio wants to help answer your questions about these changes. Send us your questions about the Common Core in the form above and we'll team up with our fellow StateImpact reporters to find answers to the biggest questions and share them with you.
But we're definitely not the only ones ready to help answer your questions about the Common Core.
This morning, WCPN's talk show the Sound of Ideas will discuss on the Common Core. The show starts at 9 a.m. and you can listen online. StateImpact Ohio reporter Ida Lieszkovszky will be on along with guests:
And tonight at 9 p.m., Ohio educators will take on the new online tests that accompany the Common Core during the weekly #ohedchat Twitter chat. (Click here to learn more about what #ohedchat is and how it works.)
