Tuesday: Senate Education Committee starts hearing on a bill that would change Ohio's school report card system. The proposed new report cards would replace the current labels for schools with A-F grades and also make it harder for schools to get top marks. The bill passed the House last week.

Tuesday: Cleveland school board prepares to share millions of local tax dollars with charter schools.

Wednesday: State legislators get preview of school finance reform possibilities.

What We're Working On

Ida will be talking with kindergarteners about what they'd do with $100.

On Tuesday from 10 a.m.-noon, WOSU's All Sides with Ann Fisher will discuss the Third Grade Reading Guarantee. I'll be on at 10. Listen online.

Note: This post has been updated to clarify what the new school report card bill (HB 555) would do.
