In the best case scenario, you'd be totally prepared for the worst case scenario. But with the doomsday bust of Y2K nearly a generation behind us, many people give little consideration to being ready for disaster. There are simple steps you can take right now -- like making sure you have a flashlight with batteries and a week's supply of must-have medicines.
