Three previous attempts to sell Ohio voters on the benefits of casino gambling failed but backers of Issue 6 think they have a winner this time around. They say a casino proposed for southwest Ohio would create thousands of permanent jobs and pour millions of dollars into public coffers in all 88 counties. Detractors say both the job and tax revenue figures are overblown and will be offset by economic losses to other businesses.
