A report generated by the Georgetown Public Policy Institute's Center for Education and the Workforce looked ahead to what employers will need from employees in 2020. The Institute found that by 2020 about 65% of jobs will require some type of post-secondary training. A high school diploma will not be enough for the majority of jobs. But according to Ohio's Department of Higher Education just 43% of the state's current workers have that type of training. Closing that workforce training gap has become a priority for the state to head off what some describe as a looming economic crisis. In Cleveland, one program that has been created to help . It's a mentoring program aimed at helping 8th graders.
