The Sound of Ideas: Public First Aid Training; Cuyahoga Arts Funding

Dwindling tax dollars from a cigarette tax means fewer dollars available to fund arts and culture programs in Cuyahoga County.  This week the agency that distributes the money collected by the tax approved a cut in its budget for grants to local arts organizations. Then, the mass shooting in Las Vegas saw bystanders stepping in to provide life-saving help to those injured.  The shooting has pushed forward the idea of emergency training for the public for those instances when bystanders may be the only help immediately available.
