Teach for America

Teach for America taps top college graduates with varying degrees, not just education majors, to spend two years teaching students in troubled urban and rural classrooms. As Ohio prepares to welcome the program for the first time, we'll talk with Teach for America founder Wendy Kopp about how it works. We'll also be joined by two Ohioans who are currently part of the Teach for America corps. And we'll hear from critics of the program, too. Join us, Monday at 9 on The Sound of ideas.

Wendy Kopp, Chief Executive Officer and Founder, Teach for America
Brendan Foreman, Associate Professor of Mathematics and Education, John Carroll University
Anisa Hassan, Teach for America Corps Member, Detroit and Ohio native
Grant Monda, Teach for America Corps Member, Memphis and Ohio native
Robert Sommers, Director, Governor's Office of 21st Century Education
