Violence claims the lives of far too many young people in Cleveland. Gunfire has not only killed teens targeting each other but also innocent children caught in the crossfire --kids as young as five months old. What will help protect the innocent, reform the perpetrators and free neighborhoods where violence traps residents and prevents progress? The Plain Dealer went in search of solutions in Philadelphia, New Haven Connecticut and Virginia Beach, and right here at home.
