One of the issues that members of the 132nd Ohio General Assembly may be considering this term is House Bill 36, also known as the Pastor Protection Act. The measure was introduced by Republican State Rep Nino Vitale, of Urbana.   The bill would protect pastors from performing wedding ceremonies, such as same-sex ceremonies, if that union is against the pastor's own religious beliefs. Opponents were quick to respond to the measure, calling the bill a "solution in search of a problem."
