Dr. James Williams is a Research Fellow at the Oxford Internet Institute. He's also the co-founder of the Time Well Spent Campaign which seeks to re-align "technology with humanity's best interests." Dr. Williams says the conversation over data loss and privacy misses a larger more fundamental issue.  He says we should be concerned over Big Tech's ability to control our attention and questions whether democracy itself is at risk.
