Credit: Walter Beach

The deadly Glenville shootout of of 1968 and subsequent riot came two years after the Hough riots and as race issues continued to boil in Cleveland. Author and historian James Robenalt examines the riots, the Glenville shootout, and the racial politics of the time, in his new book, "Ballots and Bullets: Black Power Politics and Urban Guerrilla Warfare in 1968 Cleveland." Also, its the last day to register to vote in the 2018 primaries, and we'll setup ideastream's week-long series, "Opioid Crisis: The Ripple Effect."
