The Journey to "Moana"

If you have children around on Thanksgiving don’t be surprised if shortly after dinner they start dropping hints about wanting to go to the movies.  What do they want to see?  Most likely, the latest animated film from Disney - Moana

Artist Andy Harkness, who was born in Ohio and attended Columbus College of Art & Design, was intimately involved in Moana’s design.

He talked with ideastream’s Dan Polletta about the making of the film, which is set in the South Pacific, and the research and travel that went into it.

Moana tells the story of a teenager on a mission to save her people. It  opens in theaters Wednesday, November 23.

Hear the interview with Harkness on Monday at 12:33 p.m. during Here & Now featuring the Sound of Applause on 90.3.
