Truth Be Told: Race in the Workplace
Here’s a modern day hypothetical for you: A recruiter contacts the “perfect” job applicant via LinkedIn, conducts initial interviews by phone and finally, on the verge of hiring them, invites the applicant to an in-person interview. To the hiring manager’s surprise, the applicant is.... Filipino or Mexican or African-American. And suddenly the momentum seems lost. What seemed like a promising job lead becomes a disheartening experience. That is the conundrum of some professionals of color, and it’s one of the angles we tackle in this show about race in the workplace.
