Live Wire Radio

Live Wire is a one-hour weekly radio variety show recorded in front of a live audience. It’s music, it’s conversation, it’s sketch comedy. It’s the show that dared to put tap dancing, juggling and ballet on the radio. Live Wire highlights the best musicians and most fascinating writers, poets, dignitaries, artists we can find in the even more beautiful pacific northwest.

LIZZ WINSTEAD - Author, comedian, co-creator of The Daily Show and one of the funniest political satirists in the country. She'll talk about her memoir-in-progress and how to grab the current zeitgeist for insta-jokes.

DAVID SHIELDS - David is one of the foremost writers in the country on the subject of memoir, including his controversial Reality Hunger: A Manifesto. Most recently, he edited The Inevitable: Contemporary Writers Confront Death. His forthcoming work is The Private War of J.D. Salinger.
