The Newport Jazz Festival has been a magnet for top jazz performers every year since it began in 1954, as well as the source of storied jazz recordings, including iconic performances by Miles Davis, Duke Ellington and Nina Simone. This year was no different, and this Hot Summer Jams special featured two hours of highlights. WBGO's Josh Jackson hosted from the festival grounds. An NPR Music co-production with WBGO.
