Climate One - Petropoly

Oil has powered the global economy for more than a century and helped lift generations out of poverty. But burning it is putting our future at risk as climate change causes extreme weather and sea level rise. In this hour we will hear who really sets gasoline prices and what it would take to give consumers a choice of fuels. We will also talk with Shell Oil President Marvin Odum about how to transition to a cleaner economy and tackle climate change. Finally, we will have a debate on the Keystone XL pipeline that would carry oil from the Canadian tar sands to refineries in Texas.
